The Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church family and Pastor Willie D. Webster will host a benefit program for one of their own, Kadijeah Hayes.
The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 at the church, 669 Groover Road, in the Dills Community, and will feature a variety of local choirs, groups, and soloists performing to the very best of their ability songs and praises.
Kadijeah is a lifelong member of the church and a 21 year old Monticello resident. A bad fall at work has crippled her mentally and physically, and though insurance pays much of the expenses, there is still so much that she is responsible for.
At the time of the fall she was continuing she was continuing her education in criminal justice, but has since had to put that on hold, and will very possibly not be able to continue. She was carrying a 4.0 grade point average.
The fall caused a brain disorder, memory loss, and seizures. She wears a heart monitor, has a dislocated knee, and a broken jaw. The fall caused damage that cannot be repaired, unfortunately not even with all of today's medical science and updated technology. She will eventually need braces to keep her teeth in place.
If you are not able to attend this special occasion your thoughts, prayers, and donations will be greatly appreciated.
