As the Harvest Moon, the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox was waxing (with just two days to go before it reached its fullest and brightest), the Monticello Woman's Club gathered for their first evening meeting/Halloween party on Tuesday (the club normally meets on the first Tuesday of the month, from September to May, at 11:30 a.m.) - and with the time of ghosts and goblins approaching, what better occasion for an evening meeting that is also a Halloween party?
Rita Johnson and Toni Lane had the clubhouse decorated to the hilt. Crows and ravens perched in bare twigs at every table set with lanterns, candle holders, and other eerie accoutrements, while two ghostly, animatronic “children” wandered the floor.
